Regina Schaefer, Director

Regina is a wife and mother of three teenage children. She has been attending Calvary Chapel of Gloucester County since 2012. She has a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University. The majority of her career has been spent in early childhood education administration, and more recently has taught at a small, private hybrid school that her children attend. She is so grateful for being called into this role, and thanks the Lord for guiding her in the opening process of CCA. In her spare time, Regina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing on the worship team and volunteering for Revive, the church’s outreach ministry.

 

 

Marcia R. Ammirato, CCA Secretary

Marcia became a Christian in 2011 and works as a Sunday School teacher. She has been married to her husband for 20 years and they are licensed foster parents. She spends time with family and friends and enjoys being around children. Her role at Cornerstone Christian Academy is to greet parents/students and provide them with any information they may need while working side by side with the Director and staff. She thanks God & CCA for the opportunity to continue sharing her faith and knowledge with those she comes in contact with. She loves being a part of the school and cannot wait to see what God has in store for her future.

 

 

Johanna Rodriguez, Teachers’ Assistant 

Johanna is a mother of 2 girls, Jeanna 15 and Isabella 10; who is blessed to attend Cornerstone Christian Academy. Johanna has been a part of the school setting for over 11 years. Most of those spent in the public school with a focus on special education. Johanna is happy to have made the switch from public school to Cornerstone Christian Academy; because to her, raising the children in the ways of the Lord is a ministry of the utmost importance. She loves to help in whatever areas are needed.

 

 

Larell Genay, Preschool Teacher 

Larell is a mother of three beautiful children and one dog. She managed a daycare out of her home for five years and has been attending Calvary Chapel Gloucester County since 2019. She has always loved spending time with children and is truly blessed that the Lord has opened this door for her. She is excited to encourage the children to grow into all the Lord has planned for them! In her spare time she enjoys camping, beach days, snow tubing and other outdoor activities.

 

 

Marcy Kircher, Kindergarten Teacher 

Marcy has been attending Calvary Chapel with her husband for over 5 years. She was formerly an ICU/RN for 12 years, but has since retired to full time motherhood of her 6 children. Marcy’s passion for Christ and children makes transitioning into kindergarten teacher a true blessing. Living on a hobby farm with goats, sheep, chickens and St. Bernards, Marcy is not hesitant to get  hands on fun and be immensely interactive with students. At home, she likes to sing in her kitchen while cooking dinner. Marcy likes to come to the mid-week service here at CCGC. She will forever praise Yah and His blessing of this new role and phase of life. 

 

 

Sandy Corsoe, First Grade Teacher 

Sandy is a born again Christian, wife, mother to three grown sons, mom-mom to four grandchildren, mentor, teacher and friend to all she meets, seeing God’s glorious workmanship in everyone. She attends Grace Bible Church, enjoys spending time with her family and loves watching her grandchildren play sports. Her hobbies are sewing, gardening and reading which she looks forward to in her spare time. As a committed teacher, she empowers students with confidence and self-esteem while inspiring them to love learning.  With a BA degree from Rowan University, she began her career homeschooling her sons K-12 grade, before taking teaching positions at both Christian and public schools, specializing in reading and language. Sandy sees the opportunity to teach at CCA as a calling and thanks God daily for the privilege to share Jesus with her students and for His gracious provisions.

 

 

Amanda Green, Second Grade Teacher 

Amanda and her husband have four beautiful children. She has been praying for God’s direction in her life and He has been so faithful to bring her to Cornerstone Christian Academy. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries and is going for her Masters in Educational Ministries. God led her family to begin a new work and start a church. It is called Livingstone and they are praying for God’s direction and guidance through it all. She loves teaching and being around children. It is a blessing to her!

 

 

Teri Johanson, Third and Fourth Grade Teacher 

Teri Johanson is the 3rd and 4th grade teacher here at Cornerstone Christian Academy. She has been in education for 12 years and loves teaching and watching each student grow. She is married and has two daughters, 19 and 17 years old, who are active in the youth program at church. Calvary Chapel of Gloucester County has been her place of worship for a year, and she is so grateful God brought her here. Prior to that, she was a long time member of a Methodist congregation. She enjoys baking, gardening, photography, reading the Bible and being outside in God’s creation. She is so thankful the Lord has brought her here today and cannot wait to work and grow with your children. Learning is a blessing from the Lord.

 

 

Cyndy Travaglini, Fifth and Sixth Grade Teacher 

Cyndy is a wife and mother of three adult children and one teenager as well as being a grandmother of twins. She has a BA in elementary Education from Rowan University. Up to this point, Cyndy has spent her career teaching in public schools in grades third through fifth. In her free time, Cyndy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing crafts, cooking, attending women’s groups and other Bible studies. She has been attending Fellowship Alliance Chapel since 2019 and feels so blessed that the Lord led her to CCA.

 

 

Josiah Clark, Bible Teacher 

Josiah Clark is the Bible teacher at Cornerstone Christian Academy as well as the youth pastor at Calvary Chapel Gloucester County. He graduated in 2016 from Generation Bible College in Santa Barbara, California with an associates in Biblical Theology. He is married to Erin and has one son, Maxwell, with another child due to be born at the beginning of the new school year. He enjoys soccer, reading, and camping and he loves to teach the Word of God.

 

 

Meredith McConnell, Music Teacher 

Meredith and her husband, Jason have been married for 20 years and together have three 11 year old triplet daughters who are currently enrolled in CCA. From a young age, her parents fostered a love of the arts throughout her educational career. Upon graduation from a local private high school, she was blessed to receive a full tuition scholarship to Caldwell University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Professionally, she’s worked for Campbell Soup Company, Calvary Chapel Gloucester County, and her daughters’ schools as a teacher. Currently, she works part-time in the banking industry. Meredith is thankful that the Lord chooses to use her here at CCA and prays blessings upon blessings upon all the individuals and families that encompass our school.

 

 

Chrissy Murphy, Science Teacher and Aftercare 

Chrissy is a wife and mother of two teenagers. She has been attending Calvary Chapel of Gloucester County since 2019. She has a BA in Communications and a minor in Public Relations from Southern Connecticut State University. She also received a basketball scholarship to attend the University. Chrissy has assisted in opening several butterfly greenhouses and insect museums up and down the east coast. She has a passion for God’s creation that is continuously surrounding us daily. Chrissy loves the outdoors, especially going to the beach with her family to collect sand dollars and shells. John  1:3

 

 

Eileen O’Neill, Art Teacher 

Eileen is a mother of three with 8 grandchildren. She has been a Christian since 1984. She loves the Lord with all of her heart and believes God has given her a gift to encourage children and adults through Art. After listening to the Holy Spirit in 2020, she started “Designs from the Heart” giving private and group lessons to adults and children teaching different aspects of art. God has given her the desires of working with children and being able to share His love in a Christian environment. What could be better than that?!

 

 

Nathan Wolf, Fitness Teacher 

Nathan is a husband of twelve years and father of two school aged children. He is a faithful and devoted follower of Christ and has been attending Calvary Chapel for the last two years. He has been serving as a paramedic for the past eleven years and currently still performing in that role. A new calling on his life is to become a teacher, specifically at a Christian school to mold and educate students to be faithful followers of Jesus. He is currently in his senior year at Liberty University to obtain a teaching degree in Social Studies.
